Program Description

This 3 hour training consists of two programs

Healing Emotional and Physical Pain through Yoga (Mindful Movement-With-Breath)

This first presentation aims to equip human service workers with an expanded understanding of the nervous system in relation to Stress and Pain, and the application of Mindbody techniques like Yoga/Mindful Movement-With-Breath to facilitate building self-regulation and self-healing coping skills.

Application to pain conditions will be interwoven throughout this presentation.

Self-Care and Experiential Applications of Yoga Practice

The second program which applies the key points from the earlier session into an experiential physical Self-Care practice.

Participants will have a choice of 3 videos accumulating to 60 minutes, One video is a role play demonstrating how Yoga/Mindful Movement-With-Breath can be applied to a clinical situation (video is for educational purposes only.)

Other videos consist of: a Mat yoga practice, a Chair yoga practice and a Self-Care Routine.
